Wooden wicks are not like the every-day cotton wick. They burn cleaner, longer, and they have a nice, low, crackle to them. Here are some tips to get the most out of your candle.
1) Make sure to trim the wick - Keeping the wick trimmed will allow it to burn properly. Cut your wick 1/4-1/8 inch before each burn. This allows the wick to draw the wax properly and have a clean burn. We highly suggest using wick trimmers to get down into the candle.
2) Prevent tunneling - Tunneling is when the wax melts down through the center and leave a ring of wax around the edge. Make sure to burn your candle until the melt pool is from edge to edge. *Note - minor tunneling can still happen based on your home's climate.
3) Burn your candle on an even and draft free surface away from children, pets and flammable materials.
These tips will help your candle burn clean and efficiently for the life of the candle.
